A LITTLE ABOUT ME

I've spent the last 10 years in roofing and storm restoration - running damage inspections, insurance negotiation, install management, and reconstruction. I have installed, inspected and managed claims on hundreds of roofs throughout my career.

Outside of Work:

Married almost 11 years, a dad to five kids - two boys and three girls, ages ranging from 1 to 10.

When I'm not on a roof, I'm usually spending time with friends and family hiking, kayaking the Shenandoah, playing in a softball league with my wife or trying to relearn the guitar.

Local Projects

The Foltz Project

Hail damage had the Foltz family worried about leaks, so we ran a full roof inspection and documented everything we found. Their insurance company came back with only a partial approval — not enough to cover the whole roof. We didn't settle for that. We kept pushing for another month, going back and forth with the adjuster, until we secured approval for a full roof replacement, an upgraded shingle, and a stronger warranty. They ended up with an Owens Corning Duration Lifetime shingle in Estate Gray, backed by a better warranty than what they started with.

The McPeak Project

The McPeaks were sitting on an aging architectural roof on a large home and were hoping to avoid the cost of a full replacement out of pocket. A leak from a single missing shingle had them concerned, and they initially came to us just looking for a repair. After inspecting the roof, we found wind damage that qualified for a claim, so instead of a patch job we helped them file with USAA. Insurance came back and covered a full roof replacement, plus the interior repairs caused by the leak — a brand new roof with no out-of-pocket cost.

The Clifton Project

With over 10,000 sq. ft. of roofing, Mr. Clifton had a lot riding on the outcome after storm damage hit his property. We ran the drone for a full inspection, filed the claim with his homeowners insurance, and secured full approvals on the main house, the garage, and his detached metal barn roof. He stayed happy with the process from start to finish, and the whole job — three separate roofs — wrapped up in three days.

The Dale Project

The Dales had already been collecting retail quotes for a full replacement on their large architectural roof and were prepared to pay out of pocket. When we met with them, we pointed out hail damage from storms that had come through the area — damage they didn't realize qualified for a claim. Instead of spending tens of thousands of dollars out of pocket, we worked with them and their insurance company to get the full roof replacement covered.

The Elder Project

Mr. Elder had us out for a straightforward roof replacement quote on new architectural shingles — no insurance claim, no storm damage, just a retail job. He liked our quality, our pricing, and especially our no-pressure approach, and decided to go with us. Within a month he had a brand new roof on both his house and detached garage, done as a clean two-day project.

The Robinson Project

Mr. Robinson first had us out two years before his roof replacement, when he had some minor damage. At the time, we advised him it wasn't worth filing a claim and just handled some minor repair work instead. Two years later, when a hail storm came through, he called us back for a re-inspection. This time the damage justified it — we recommended filing a claim, got a full approval, and replaced his roof.
